Self Exclusion
Self-exclusion: purpose and scope
Hi89 offers a formal self-exclusion option to pause all gambling activity across Hi89 platforms. Activation applies to the username and account(s) held by you and to all Hi89 products and services connected to your profile. This mechanism is intended to assist you in managing gambling risk and to support responsible participation.
How to initiate self-exclusion
To begin, you must be logged into your Hi89 account. Navigate to the Self-Exclusion page within your account settings, select the desired exclusion period, and confirm your choice. Once confirmed, the exclusion takes effect immediately and you will not be able to access deposit, wagering, or withdrawal functionality for the duration chosen.
Duration options and reactivation rules
Hi89 provides two geographic-dependent rules for self-exclusion:
- Residents of the United Kingdom: The minimum exclusion period is six (6) months. After this period ends, reactivation requires contact with Hi89 Support to restore access to your account. During the UK exclusion, you may not reopen a Hi89 account or engage in any Hi89 activity.
- Residents outside the United Kingdom: You may specify a fixed period of self-exclusion. At the conclusion of that period, your Hi89 account will automatically reactivate unless you take further action to extend the exclusion. A self-exclusion cannot be shortened once activated, and permanent exclusions cannot be reversed. If you attempt to open a new Hi89 account during an active exclusion, you will be refused access.
Note: Any self-exclusion applies to all Hi89 gambling services associated with your profile and cannot be selectively lifted for individual products.
Consequences during and after exclusion
While self-excluded, you will not be able to place bets, deposit funds, or withdraw funds from Hi89. Any bets already placed pending results remain valid and will be settled in accordance with official results. Any entries into competitions, draws, or non-cash prizes granted prior to the self-exclusion but not yet redeemed may be forfeited or withdrawn as applicable. Invitations or tickets offered before exclusion may be retracted automatically if they fall within the exclusion period. You may not create a new Hi89 account during the exclusion period, and Hi89 will not be liable for losses incurred during exclusion.
Cooling-off option (UK residents)
In addition to standard exclusion, UK residents may request a cooling-off period to take a break from gambling. Available durations are 24 hours, 1 week, 3 weeks, or 6 weeks. To request a cooling-off period, contact Hi89 Support or log in to initiate the process. At the end of the cooling-off period, your Hi89 account will automatically reactivate and normal access to play, deposit, and withdraw will resume without further action required.
Protective measures and account closure
Hi89 may close your account if there is a reasonable assessment that continued gambling could cause financial or personal difficulties. If such a close occurs, you must not create a new Hi89 account. Any attempt to do so is undertaken at your own risk, and Hi89 disclaims liability for resulting losses or consequences. This measure is intended to prevent further gambling activity where it is deemed inappropriate for your circumstances.
Support, extensions, and review
For requests to extend an existing self-exclusion, modify its duration, or to review status, contact Hi89 Support. If you require formal review of a self-exclusion decision or related terms, you may pursue the dispute-resolution process provided under Hi89 policies. Hi89 reserves the right to amend self-exclusion terms; when updates to general terms and conditions occur, existing users may elect to discontinue use of products before the update takes effect, subject to a minimum notice period of two weeks.
